Janie Motley

Janie Little Motley, age 88, of Midland passed away on Tuesday, June 26, 2012 at Universal Heathcare in Concord. The family will receive friends from 6 PM to 8 PM on Thursday, June 28, 2012 at Hartsell Funeral Home in Midland. The funeral service will be at 4 PM on Friday, June 29, 2012 at Pine Bluff United Methodist Church, 11000 Reed Mine Rd. in Midland. Rev. Kevin McCormack and Rev. Arvel Rushing will officiate the service. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Janie was born in Union County on March 14, 1924. She was one of 13 children born to the late Columbus Lorinzo and Minnie Alice Edward Little. She is also preceded in death by her husband, Mack Motley. She is survived by her son, Jimmy E. Deese and wife Maureen; four grandchildren, Jimmy Deese, Brian Deese, Laurie Cordeiro, LJ Sousa; six great grandchildren; and two sisters. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer Association, 3800 Shamrock Dr. Charlotte, NC 28215. Hartsell Funeral Home of Midland is serving the Motley family.
