Janis Storey

Janis Kay Rocco Storey, 64 years of age, of Albemarle, passed away Thursday, May 22, 2014 at her daughter's home in Monroe. Janis was born February 5, 1950 in Sapulpa, Oklahoma to the late Marino Rocco and the late Emma Lucinda Rocco. The family will receive friends from 1 pm to 3 pm on Sunday, May 25, 2014 at Hartsell Funeral Home in Albemarle. She is survived by her husband of 46 years, William Robert "Bob" Storey, Jr. of the home; son, William Robert Storey III and wife Brandy of Locust; daughters; Kelly Storey Horton and husband Boyd, Jr. of Monroe, and Michelle Storey Beachum of Charlotte; brother, Robert Marino Rocco; grandchildren, Eric Storey, Zachary Beachum, Addison Storey, and Courtney Storey; and great-grandchildren, Ella Storey, Taylor Storey; and Eric Storey Jr. Janis was a member of the Red Hat Society. She enjoyed playing Bingo, going bowling, and singing karaoke with her friends. Memorials may be made to the charity of one's choice. Hartsell Funeral Home of Albemarle is serving the Storey family.
