Jean Ais

Jean Yves Ais, of Charlotte, passed away Sunday, August 7, 2022 at his residence in Charlotte, North Carolina
Yves was born June 8, 1926 in Haiti to the late Isaac Ais and Docile Verdieux Ais.

He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings: sisters Franchette, Christine and brothers Joseph Lucien, Gerard Ais.

Yves was an avid soccer fan, devoted husband, loving father, grandfather and uncle.   He resided in Haiti the majority of his life where he worked as a government employee and retired after over 30 years of service.  He migrated to New York in the early 2000s and moved to Charlotte where he lived the past 7 to 10 years.  Yves was a jack of all trades…  nothing he could not fix with some Crazy Glue.  His family was his priority and he devoted his entire life to ensure our wellbeing.  He will be dearly missed.

The family will receive friends from 8:30 am - 10:45 am, Saturday, August 13, 2022 at Hartsell Funeral Home of Harrisburg. The funeral service will follow at 11:00 am in the chapel of Hartsell Funeral Home. Survivors include his beloved wife, Marie M Francois of NC; daughter Yanick M Hais of MA, son Jean Lesly Ais of FL, daughter Elisabeth M Hais of NC, son Antoine I Ais of MA, daughter Sheila Lambert of NY,  son Jean Yves Ais Jr of FL, son Christopher Ais of NC; grandson Vladimir Ais, granddaughter Stacie Jean-Louis, grandson Jean Lesly Ais, Jr, granddaughter Kiyana Jean-Louis, granddaughter Jessica Louis, granddaughter Gaethane Louis, granddaughter Vanessa Ais, grandson Fonthnel Lambert, grandson Kelly Jean-Louis, granddaughter Gabriella Louis, grandson Joshua Ais, grandson Jeremiah Ais, granddaughter Angelina Ais, grandson Tyrese Ais, grandsons Andrew and Anthony Ais; great granddaughter Aniyah Ais, great grandson Christian Ais, great grandson Aiden Ais, great granddaughters Arielle and Aurora Ais, great grandson Asan Ais, great granddaughter Avyana Dessalines. Nephews and nieces: Allritch, Gerald Ais, Marie Carmel, Marie Guilene, Marie Chantal, Francine Ais, Ralph, Yves, Theodor Jr. Clark, Elsie, Jocelyne, Denise Bien Aime, Mirriane Thomas and Eric Francois.
