Jean Heater

Jean Catherine Heater, 98, of Harrisburg, passed away Monday, September 7, 2020 at her son's home in Harrisburg, NC.  Born in 1922 in Dunmore, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of the late Merritt E. Westcott and Cassie Doran Westcott.

In addition to her parents, Jean was also preceded in death by husband, Edwin James Heater.

Jean worked for DuPont in New Jersey as a lab technician in support of the country during WWII.

After the war, Jean married Edwin James Heater and they made their home in Vestal, New York for many years before moving to Harrisburg, North Carolina.  Jean enjoyed serving the Lord through many church activities as well as spending time with her family and friends.

A graveside service will be held at 1:00 pm, Tuesday,  September 15, 2020  at Carolina Memorial Park in Harrisburg.  Survivors include son, Jim (Janine) Heater of Harrisburg, grandson, Daniel (Amanda) Heater of Durham, NC, great-grandsons, Zachary and Elliot, granddaughter, Renee Wilson of Charlotte, great-grandchildren, Michael and Sierra, and cousin, Betty Koss of Moscow, PA

Memorials may be made to Hospice of Cabarrus County.
