Biography
Jean Meryon Garmon Hinson, 76 years of age, of Midland, passed away Thursday, May 21, 2015 at her residence.
Mrs. Hinson was born January 2, 1939 in Cabarrus County to the late John Lee Garmon and the late Myrtle Stokes Garmon. She was also preceded in death by sister; Virginia Morello; brother, James Garmon; sisters, Christine Elders and Nell Bratton; and daughter, Candie Blanton.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 -8:00 pm, Monday, May 25, 2015 at Hartsell Funeral Home in Midland. The funeral service will be on Tuesday, May 26, 2015 at 3:00 pm, with a 30 minute state prior to the service, at Mill Grove United Methodist Church in Midland officiated by Rev. Bob Sturge and Rev. Arval Rushing. Burial will follow at the Mill Grove United Methodist Cemetery.
Survivors include husband, Hubert Durant Hinson of the home; daughters, Starr (Mark) Page of Stanfield, Kathy (John) McCoy of Stanfield; son, Tonie (Tina) Hinson of Midland; grandchildren, Angela Bean, Daniel Page, Ryan and Tyler Harris, Kyle Blanton, Houston and Dillion Hinson, Caleb, Kristin and Kolt McCoy; great grandchildren, Gracie Page and Bryndon Harris; and sister Dean Randall of Midland.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Mill Grove United Methodist Church, P. O. Box 84, Midland, NC 28107 or Hospice and Palliative Care of Cabarrus County, 5003 Hospice Lane, Kannapolis, NC 28081.
