Jeanette Perry Helderman, 81, of Albemarle, passed away Wednesday, November 2, 2022, at Tucker Hospice House in Kannapolis.
Mrs. Helderman was born on January 18, 1941, to the late Malfus Lawton Perry and Delia Mace Perry. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her sister and brother-in-law, Doris and Larry Maddox.
Jeanette grew up in Montgomery County. She spent her High School afternoons working in a local dress shop where she learned how important it is to greet everyone with a smile, always put your best “face forward,” and the importance of being on time. After some time in college, she married Kenneth and they settled in Albemarle, NC
For the next 61+ years, she devoted her time, energy and love to Kenneth and their 4 daughters, and later their 4 grandchildren. Jeanette loved to travel, had a soft spot for animals, especially dogs and loved to read. She took advantage of every opportunity to travel with Kenneth, family and her special “Pajama Party Girls.”
When she was not traveling, you could always find her and Kenneth at their River Haven lake cabin or their beach house at Carolina Beach. We will forever remember the precision with which she ran each household and the warmth and love we felt when spending time with her, whether it be around her kitchen table or in her festively decorated family den.
The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude and love to Keeley Caudle and Gracie Love for all of the care and compassion they gave Jeanette over the last several months. It is a debt which can never be repaid.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 - 1:45 pm, on Wednesday, November 23, 2022, at First Lutheran Church, 230 S. 2nd Street, Albemarle. The funeral service will follow at 2:00 pm, officiated by Pastor James Laurence.
