Jeffrey Thomas

Jeffrey Todd Thomas, 51 years of age, of Oakboro, passed away Wednesday, December 2, 2015 at his home.

Todd was born October 3, 1964 in Cabarrus County to Harold Douglas Thomas, Sr. of Concord and the late Joyce Ann Phillips Thomas. He was also preceded in death by his brother Ricky Thomas.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm, Friday, December 4, 2015 at Hartsell Funeral Home of Concord. The funeral service will be on Saturday at 2:00 pm at Homestead Baptist Church, officiated by Rev. Mitch Thomas. He will lie in state for 30 minutes prior to the service. The burial will follow at the Carolina Memorial Park in Kannapolis. At other times, the family will be meeting at his father's home.

In addition to his father and step mother, Jean Thomas, he is survived by his three daughters, Nicole Thomas, Brooke Thomas, Hailey Thomas, and their mother, Gloria Smith, all of Oakboro; granddaughter, Ava Harwood of Oakboro; brothers, Doug Thomas and wife Martha of Kannapolis, Phillip Thomas and wife Jolette of Kannapolis, and Bennit Thomas and wife Kim of Concord; step sister, Deborah Bradley and husband Jerry of Concord.

Todd was a loving son, father, grandfather, and brother, who loved spending time with his family. He was a 1983 graduate of Concord High School, and was the store manager at Food Lion. Todd was an avid Duke fan, and enjoyed playing golf and hunting.

Memorials may be made to a trust for his daughters, Nicole, Brooke, and Hailey Thomas through Fifth Third Bank.
