Jennie Eudy Whitley, 103, of Oakboro, passed away Sunday, March 20, 2016 at Trinity Place, Albemarle , NC.
The family will receive friends at Hartsell Funeral Home of Albemarle on Tuesday, March 22, 2016 from 4:00 PM to 6:30 PM. Her funeral will follow at 7:00 PM in the Hartsell Funeral Home's Lefler Memorial Chapel officiated by Elder Larry Austin, Rev. Todd Hahn, and Rev. Jeremy Holt. She will be laid to rest in the Smith Grove Community Cemetery, Hwy 138, Oakboro, NC on Wednesday, March 23, 2016 at 11:00 AM.
Born August 25, 1912 in Stanly County, she was the daughter of the late Matthew Solomon and Lophelia Gilbert Eudy. Her husband of 66 years, Odell Whitley, preceded her in death on April 13, 2002. She was also preceded in death by five brothers, Lawrence, Lee, Brace, J Hugh and Roy Eudy, and two sisters, Dora Howard and Blake Poplin.
She is survived by two daughters, Elaine W. Hahn and husband Bill of Charlotte, Lynette W. Anderson and husband Henry of Oakboro; four grandsons; Todd Hahn, Scott Hahn, Travis Anderson and Neil Anderson, six great grandsons; Justin Hahn, Jonathan Hahn, Beckett Hahn, Declan Hahn, Colton Anderson, and Marshall Anderson and one great granddaughter, Harper Hahn.
