Jennifer Harman

Jennifer Lauren Harman, 40, of Concord, passed away after a courageous fight against cancer on Wednesday, February 22, 2023, while surrounded by family and friends.

Jennifer was born March 20, 1982, in Princeton, West Virginia, to Donna Maddox and Roy Maddox. She was preceded in death by stepsister, Kristen Hamm, as well as paternal grandparents Robert and Betty Maddox; maternal grandmother Faye Grose; and maternal grandfather Marvin Grose.

Jennifer was a graduate of Concord University in Athens, WV, in 2002. She worked in Kannapolis, NC, as a Financial Analyst for Haas Formula One Race Team.

Jen, as she was known to most, lit up a room with her smile and caring spirit, her sharp wit and sense of humor, and her capacity to love her family and friends beyond measure. Family was the most important thing in Jen’s world, and she was an amazing mother to her children Claire and Cooper.

Despite the struggles and challenges of her illness, Jen remained a light for those around her, and maintained her faith in God.

The family will receive friends from 12:00 pm - 12:45 pm, Monday, February 27, 2023, at Hartsell Funeral Home of Concord. The funeral service will follow at 1:00 pm, officiated by Rev. Craig F. Stout. A burial will follow at the Northlake Memorial Gardens at 11001 Alexandriana Road, Huntersville, NC.

Survivors include husband, Dusty Harman of Concord, NC; daughter, Claire Harman; son, Cooper Harman; beloved dog, Piper; mother, Donna Maddox; father, Roy Maddox; sister, Tracy Goode and husband Steve; stepmother, Vickie Maddox; step-grandmother, Linda Grose; nieces, Haley and Emma Goode; and a host of other amazing family, friends, and neighbors.
