Jeong Won Quates

Jeong Won "Miss Kim" Quates, 60, of Concord, NC passed away Wednesday, September 7, 2022, at her home surrounded by those who loved her most.

Miss Kim was born December 25,1961 in South Korea, to Myeung Chul Kim and the late Jang Bun Hong. Along with her mother she was also preceded in death by a brother, Sung Han Kim.

Survivors include her husband, Chris Quates of Concord, NC; son, Matthew Quates and fiancée Peyton Sealy; brother, In Han Kim; brother, Tae Han Kim; as well as many nieces and nephews.

Miss Kim was an incredibly amazing, loving and gracious wife and mother. She loved God, her family, and friends. She was immensely caring, loving, generous, kind and giving. She would never hesitate to help someone who needed it. Many people considered her their “second mom.” To know her was to love her and she was loved by so many. She was also the most dedicated and hardest worker anyone knew. She enjoyed watching Korean dramas, movies, and comedies. She also was an avid watcher of football. She will be greatly missed, but the spirit of such a powerful woman as Miss Kim will live on forever.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm, Sunday, September 11, 2022 at Hartsell Funeral Home of Harrisburg, 12115 University City Blvd., Harrisburg, NC. The funeral service will be on Monday at 11:00 am at Hartsell Funeral Home of Harrisburg in the Jeff Hartsell Memorial Chapel, officiated by Pastor Kyler Smith. Live webcasting for the service will begin at 12:45 at the following link: http://video.ibm.com/channel/drygeSYpxX7 Burial will follow at the Carolina Memorial Park in Kannapolis.
