Jerry Garris

Jerry Roger Garris, 73 years of age, of Albemarle, passed away Tuesday, September 13, 2016 at his home.

Mr. Garris was born March 16, 1943 to the late Hugh Christian and Letha Garris. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his brothers, Ted and Sherrill Garris; daughter, Donna Leonard.

The family will receive friends on Sunday September 18, 2016 from 1:30 pm to 2:00 PM at Mtn. Creek Primitive Baptist Church in New London. A memorial service for Jerry will follow in the church at 2:00 PM officiated by Elder Gene Hogan .

Survivors include: son, Jeff Jerry Garris; daughter, Carla Jo Garris; son, John William Garris; son, Samuel Christian Garris; grandchildren, Timothy Leonard, Samantha Leonard, and Luke Garris.
Jerry was a General Contractor and Master Carpenter and his family and friends knew him as a talented and avid lover of bluegrass music.
