Jerry Hathcock

Jerry Eugene Hathcock, 53, of 502 Redah Avenue, Locust, passed away suddenly on November 2, 2009, at Stanly Regional Medical Center in Albemarle. Born in Stanly County on November 10, 1955, Jerry Hathcock was preceded in death by his mother, Laura Irene Lambert Hathcock; his father, Tyson Cecil Hathcock; his brothers, Larry Cecil Hathcock who was killed in service, and Roger Wayne Hathcock. He was a Truck Driver with Talley Farms and was a member of God’s Church of Badin. Mr. Hathcock is survived by his sister, Carolyn Foreman of Stanfield; three nephews, Terry Allen Foreman, Michael Todd Foreman, and Chad Larry Foreman; and one niece, Crystal Lynn Starnes. Visitation will be Thursday, from 1:00 – 2:00 at Hartsell Funeral Home, Midland, with the funeral service at 2:00, at Hartsell Funeral Home, Rev. Frank Thompson officiating. At other times the family will meet at the home of his sister, Carolyn, at 9242 Webb Road, Stanfield. Graveside Military Rites performed by Stanly County DAV Chapter 12.
