Jerry Wayne Johnston, 67 years of age, of Aquadale, passed away Sunday, February 19, 2017 at his home.
Jerry was born December 30, 1949 in Princeton, West Virginia to the late John B. and Ora J Johnston. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his daughter Barbara J. Johnston.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm, Wednesday, February 22, 2017 at Hartsell Funeral Home-Albemarle. The funeral service will be held on Thursday, February 23, 2017 at 11:00 am at Hartsell Funeral Home's Lefler Memorial Chapel in Albemarle.
Survivors include: wife of 47 years, Miriam Pendleton Johnston; son, Jerry Johnston, Jr and wife Kristy of Crosby, TX.; daughters. Amber and husband Daniel Harper of Aquadale, NC, Cheyenne Johnston and fiancé Keith Hartsell of Oakboro, NC; 12 grandchildren; sisters, Geraldine Courtney of Princeton, WV, Brookie Smith of Princeton, WV; brothers, John B. Johnston of Jacksonville, FL, David (Tim) Johnston of Ravenwood, WV, Ronald T. Johnston of Dover, DE.
Jerry was a hard working family man, loving father, and friend to all.
