Jerry Dickson Morgan

Jerry Dickson Morgan, 88, of Kannapolis, passed away Monday, October 16, 2023 at Tucker Hospice House in Kannapolis.

Jerry Morgan was born June 14, 1935 in Stanly County, North Carolina to the late Sam Jones Morgan and the late Eula Sells Morgan. 
He was also preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Morgan and brothers, Paul and Carl Morgan.

Jerry was a wonderful dad, grandpa, great-grandpa and friend. He was a staple in the used car business operating Morgan Motors for 38 years. He never met a stranger, was willing to help anyone out. He always had a good joke to tell and truly lived his life to the fullest. He will be terribly missed by everyone who knew and loved him. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army having served at the Panama Canal.

The family will receive friends from 1:00pm to 2:45pm on Friday, October 20, 2023 at Hartsell Funeral Home of Concord. The funeral service will follow on Friday, October 20, 2023 at 3:00 pm at the Miller J. Hartsell Chapel officiated by Harold Garcia. Burial will follow at the Oakboro Cemetery located at 1397 North Main Street, Oakboro, North Carolina.

Survivors include daughter, Angela ( Harold) Wilson of Kannapolis, NC; grandsons, Kevan (Gina) Dover, Mason Lear and Brandon Wilson; great-grandchildren, Dalton Dover and Madilyn Dover; and nieces and one nephew.
