Biography Jerry Dean Owens, 55 years of age, of Oakboro, passed away Tuesday, May 2, 2017 at Carolinas HealthCare System NorthEast in Concord.
Jerry was born December 3, 1961 in York, South Carolina to the late James William Owens and the late Ruby Capps Owens. He was also preceded in death by a brother, William "Billy" Owens.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm, Thursday, May 4, 2017 at Hartsell Funeral Home of Midland. The funeral service will be on Friday at 11:00 am at Harmony Baptist Church - Stanfield officiated by Rev. Jimmie Bartley and Rev. Buck Cannup. Burial will follow at the Oakboro Cemetery at 1397 North Main Street, Oakboro.
Survivors include his brothers, Ronald Owens of Oakboro, Harold (Cathy) Owens of Stanfield, Jimmy (Sherrie) Owens of Monroe and Andy Owens of Stanfield.
Jerry worked at Charlotte Pipe in Charlotte, NC.
The family will be gathering at Jeremy Efird's House on Big Lick Road in Oakboro
