Jerry Rogers

Jerry Allen Rogers, 75 years of age, of Norwood, passed away Saturday, May 7, 2016 at Stanly Regional Medical Center in Albemarle.
Jerry was born July 25, 1940 in Guilford County to the late James Frank Rogers Jr. and the late Mildred Wolfe Rogers. He was also preceded in death by his daughter, Renea Rogers; and two brothers, Donnie and Jimmy.
The family will receive friends from 4:30 pm - 6:00 pm, Tuesday, May 10, 2016 at Hartsell Funeral Home-Albemarle. The funeral service will be on Tuesday at 6:00 pm at Hartsell Funeral Home's Lefler Memorial Chapel in Albemarle officiated by Rev. Joe Smith. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Cemetery, 3901 Forest Lawn Dr., Greensboro, N.C. 27455 on Wednesday, May 11, at 11:00 am.
Survivors include his loving wife of 17 years, Emma Jean Rogers of Norwood; one daughter, Courtney (James) Leonard of Raleigh; one son, Todd (Kim) Rogers of Chapel Hill; one step daughter, Christi (Jim) Snuggs of Albemarle; brother, Larry Rogers of Key Biscayne, FL; six grandchildren, James V. and Benjamin Leonard, Casey and Lauren Rogers, Eli and Abby Snuggs.
Retired from Alcoa, Jerry was a charter member of the Albemarle Jaycees and a past Master of the Masonic Lodge #703.
