Jerry Dean Williams, 78, of Oakboro, passed away Sunday, May 23, 2021 at Atrium Health Stanly in Albemarle.

Jerry was born January 2, 1943 in Stanly County to the late Cletus Williams and Gladys Huneycutt Williams. He was also preceded in death by his brother Larry Williams.

Jerry was a graduate of North Carolina State University.

Jerry was employed with Union Carbide, Stanly Knitting Mills, and Williams Appraisals.

He was a volunteer with the Oakboro Rural Fire Department and the construction team for the West Stanly Drama Department.  He was also a docent with the Oakboro Railroad Museum.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM - 4:00 PM, Saturday, June 5, 2021 at Hartsell Funeral Home of Albemarle. The graveside officiated by Chip Alsobrooks will follow at 5:00 PM in the Oakboro Cemetery, 1397 North Main St., Oakboro, NC 28129.

Survivors include wife, Judith Greeson Williams of Oakboro; daughter, Jerianna (Gary) Surratt of Oakboro; and grandchildren, Benjamin and Charlotte Surratt.

Memorials may be made to donor's favorite charity.

Hartsell Funeral Home of Albemarle is serving the Williams family.
