Jerry Yannacci

Jerry Yannacci, 93, of Midland, passed away on June 11, 2023, peacefully at home, with his loving son by his side.

Mr. Yannacci was born April 2, 1930 in New York to the late Vincenzo Yannacci and the late Rose Yannacci.   He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 69 years, Josephine and brother, Joseph Yannacci.

Dad loved his family.  Josephine, his wife, was his everything.  They met when Dad was in the military.  Mom was a telephone operator.  When Dad called home he seemed to get her every time to connect him with his mom.  They married in 1954 and June 12, 2023 would have been their 69th wedding anniversary, the day after he passed.  He must have wanted to go and spend it with her in Heaven, what a better place to celebrate life with her.  Dad was retired military of 34 years in the United States Airforce.  He was  a Chief Master Sergeant and was loved by all airmen under him.  We are honored and proud to be his family.  He and Mom will always be in our hearts and we'll see them both again someday.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, June 21, 2023, 10:00 am - 11:00 am at Hartsell Funeral Home in Concord, NC, with a funeral service mass to follow from 11:00 am  in the Hartsell Funeral Home Chapel in Concord.  Burial will immediately follow at the St James Catholic Cemetery at 2323 Gold Hill Road, Concord.

Jerry is survived by his son, Michael Iannacci of Midland, NC; granddaughter, Sarah (Mitchell) Medlin; two great-granddaughters, Autumn Rose Medlin and Mia Bella Medlin; brother, Peter (Joan) Yannacci; and two sisters, Lena Yannacci and Mary Sarnataro.
