Jesse Dennis

Jesse Faye Dennis, 70 years of age, of Albemarle, passed away Thursday, October 8, 2015 at Carolinas Medical Center-NorthEast in Concord.

Jesse was born November 18, 1944 in Stanly County to the late Henry Faye Dennis and the late Jettie Mae Chandler Dennis. He was also preceded in death by wife of 40 years, Shirley Dianne Talbert Dennis, who passed away in 2011; sisters, Margaret Hicks, Louise Burris; and brother Larry Dennis.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm, Saturday, October 10, 2015 at Hartsell Funeral Home of Albemarle. The funeral service will be at 3:00 pm Sunday, October 11, 2015 at Canton Baptist Church, officiated by Rev. Mark Mabry. He will lie in state for 30 minutes prior to the service. The burial will follow in the church cemetery.

He is survived by his son, Greg Dennis and wife Krista of Concord; daughter, Angel Dennis Sloop and husband Darin of Concord; sisters, Helen Sasser of Albemarle, Irene Jeffreys and husband George of Williamston, Ann Clark and husband Roger of Albemarle; brother, Bob Dennis and wife Barbara of Statesville; and grandchildren, Jessica Taylor, Stephanie Jackson and husband Tariq, Dawson Sloop, and Faith Sloop.

Jesse loved his family and church.
