Jimmie Allman

Jimmie Van Allman, 81 years of age, of Mount Pleasant, formerly of Concord, went to be with the Lord on Monday, February 29, 2016 at his home.

Mr. Allman was born October 18, 1934 in Stanly County, to the late Ray Van Allman and the late Dora Bell Allman. He was also preceded in death by his son, Ray Van Allman; as well as his sister, Verniece Cline.

Survivors include his wife of 63 years, Barbara Slough Allman of Mount Pleasant; his daughter, Dianna Allman Threadgill and husband Rev. Michael Threadgill; as well as his granddaughter, Amanda Threadgill Kraushaar and husband Rick.

Jimmie was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He filled our lives with so much laughter and love for many years. He attended Mount Pleasant High School. Jimmie and his wife Barbara lived in Concord for nearly 60 years, and were both members at Gordon Heights Baptist Church.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm,
Wednesday, March 2, 2016 at Hartsell Funeral Home of
Concord. The funeral service will follow at 3:00 pm officiated
by his son in law, Rev. Michael Threadgill. Burial will follow
at Carolina Memorial Park in Kannapolis.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to
Hospice and Palliative Care of Cabarrus County.
