Jimmie Boyles

Jimmie Memory Boyles, 88, of Concord, passed away Saturday, August 3, 2013 at Five Oaks Manor in Concord. Mr. Boyles was born September 30, 1924 to the late James and the late Texa Boyles. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by four brothers, Charlie Boyles, Elwin Boyles, Hubert Boyles and William Boyles. He was a beloved uncle to numerous nieces and nephews as well as great nieces and nephews. Jimmie was known as a Cubbie to all who knew him, a nickname given to him at birth by the delivering doctor and it stayed with him his entire life. He spent a large part of his life living with his mother and took loving care of her until her passing. Cubbie loved walking, staying busy, sweets and coffee. The family will receive friends at Hartsell Funeral Home of Concord on Tuesday, August 6, 2013 from 1:00pm until 2:00pm. The funeral service, officiated by Rev. Larry Morgan, will follow in Hartsell Funeral Home Chapel at 2:00pm. Burial will be held at the Oaklawn Cemetery,1626 Oaklawn Ave, Charlotte. Cubbie is survived by a sister, Madeline Elder of Concord, a brother, Lacy Boyles, Sr. of Harrisburg. Hartsell Funeral Home is serving the Boyles family.
