Jimmy Greene

Jimmy Wayne Greene, 72 years of age, of Concord, passed away Tuesday, May 6, 2014 at CMC - NorthEast in Concord. Jimmy was born February 7, 1942 in Union County to the late William Henry Greene and the late Flora Belle Almond Greene. He was also preceded in death by brothers, Tommy Ray and William Roger Greene. The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM - 3:00 PM, Friday, May 9, 2014 in the Church Fellowship at Running Creek Primitive Baptist Church in Locust. The funeral service officiated by Rev. Jeff Smith will be at 3:00 PM, Friday, May 9, 2014 in the Church Sanctuary. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The body will lie in state one hour prior to the service. He is survived by sisters, Doris Thompson and husband, Jack of Locust, Diane G. Hahn and husband, Sherrill of Albemarle and Janet Thomas and husband, Walter of Marshville; along with several nieces and nephews. Memorials may be made to Running Creek Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, 24671 Millingport Road, Locust, NC 28097. Hartsell Funeral Home of Albemarle is serving the Greene family.
