Jimmy Eugene Hathcock,Sr. age 75 of Norwood, passed away on April 4, 2012, at Forrest Oakes Healthcare Center, Albemarle. The family will receive friends on Saturday, April 7, 2012 from 12:30 pm until 1:30 pm at Hartsell Funeral Home of Albemarle. The graveside service will be Saturday, April 7, 2012 at 2:00 pm at Norview Gardens. Rev. Nathan Fox will officiate. Born, August 15, 1936 in Stanly County, he was the son of the late Garfield Hathcock and the late Sadie Elizabeth Preslar Hathcock. He is survived by his son, Jimmy Eugene Hathcock, Jr. of Charlotte; brother, Doug Hathcock of Monroe; two sisters, Margaret Garmon of Norwood and Ruby Weathersbee of Greensboro, NC.
