Jimmy Helms

Mr. Jimmy Wayne Helms, 47, of 2 Kepley Place NW, Concord, passed away on Saturday, November 27, 2010 at Carolinas Medical Center NorthEast. He was born on June 16, 1963 in Norfolk, VA to Tony Woodrow Helms, of Concord and Virginia Kathleen Cope Furr, of Concord. Jimmy was an avid fisherman and enjoyed hunting. He was a welder with the Bendel Corporation. A visitation will be held at Hartsell Funeral Home in Concord on Wednesday, December 1, 2010 from 6:00 until 8:00 pm. A funeral service will be held in the chapel of Hartsell Funeral Home on Thursday, December 2, 2010 at 11:00 am with Rev. Robert Page and Rev. Terry Smith officiating. Burial will be at Carolina Memorial Park in Kannapolis. He is survived by his wife of 29 years, Bonnie S. Helms, of the home; sons, David and Darren Helms, both of Concord; daughter, Kimberly Dawn Helms Barnhardt, of Concord; grandchildren, Hunter Bradley, Hannah Bailey, and Haleigh Brooke Barnhardt; brothers, Michael Helms, of Mt.
