Jimmy Lentz

Mr. Jimmy Allen Lentz, Sr.,75, of 141 Lenmore Drive Concord passed away on Friday, July 30, 2010 at his home. Born on March 1, 1935 in Stanly County to the late Geraldine Mauldin Hastings. He was also preceded in death by a brother Lanny Richard Mauldin. Mr. Lentz was a retired mechanic for Dennis Carpenter Ford Reproductions. He was a member of Concord First Assembly in Concord. The family meeting place will be the home. A visitation will be held at Hartsell Funeral Home Concord on Sunday, August 1, 2010 from 12 Noon until 2 PM. Funeral services will follow at 2 PM in the chapel with the Rev. Forrest Jones officiating. Burial will follow at West Concord Cemetery. Survived by: wife, Barbara R. Lentz of the home; sons, Jimmy Allen Lentz, Jr. and wife Donna of Lexington, Christopher Harris Lentz and wife Lori of Concord; daughter, Anna Linker and husband Jason of Harrisburg; sister, Sylvia Burris and husband Harold of Albemarle; 9 grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. Memorials may be made to Hospice and Palliative Care of Cabarrus County 5003 Hospice Lane Kannapolis, NC 28081 or to the charity of the donors choice.
