Jo Smith Bass, age 55 of 5905 Pythagoas Lane, Wendell, NC 27591, passed away on July 28, 2011 at home in Wendell. The family will receive friends Monday, August 1, 2011 from 5pm until 7pm at Hartsell Funeral Home – Albemarle with a memorial service immediately following at 7pm in the Hartsell Funeral Home’s Lefler Memorial Chapel. The Rev. Joe Smith will officiate. Mrs. Bass was preceded in death by one grandson, Devin Barringer, Jr. and a special nephew, Wesley Lynn Harrison. Born on June 04, 1956. Jo Bass was survived by her spouse Larry Bass of the home; three sons, Dustin Barringer of Albemarle, Devin Barringer of GA, Dwight Bass of Wendell; two daughters, Tammy Holt Provost of Columbia SC, Mellissa Bass-Schiffgens? of Clayton, NC and seven grandchildren .
