Jo Mauldin

Jo Carolyn Edsell Mauldin, 82, of Concord, passed away Thursday, August 30, 2018 at Tucker Hospice House in Kannapolis.

Jo was born November 27, 1935 in Concord, to the late Roy and Blanche Edsell.  She was also preceded in death by daughter, Julie Elaine Mauldin; three sisters, Nell Coffey, Madge Goodnight, and Helen McClamrock; and brother, Rev. Robert Edsell.

Jo was a loving wife, mother and grandmother, "Mama Jo."  She will be forever loved and dearly missed.

Survivors include beloved husband of 65 years, Ira Howard Mauldin; daughter, Dabra Huneycutt and husband, John; son, Timothy Mauldin and wife, Janice; sister, Hilda Petty; grandchildren, Torry Huneycutt, Chelsea Filipowski and husband, Justin; Zachary Mauldin and wife, Terri; and one great grandson on the way, Maddox Filipowski.

The family will receive friends Sunday, September 2, 2018 from 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm, at Hartsell Funeral Home of Concord.  The graveside service will be 2:30 pm, Sunday, at Carolina Memorial Park, 601 Mt. Olivet Rd, Concord.  Jo will be laid to rest beside her daughter, Julie.
