Joan Frivold

Joan Lesley Countryman Frivold, 84 years of age, of Harrisburg, passed away Saturday, September 5, 2015 at Levine & Dickson Hospice House in Huntersville.
Joan was born November 9, 1930 in Ulster County, New York to the late Lester Countryman and the late Elizabeth Oakley Countryman. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Erling Rolfsen Frivold, Jr.; sister, Edna Schoonmaker; and granddaughter, Elizabeth Shannon Frivold.
There will be a celebration of life at her home Saturday, September 12, 2015.
She is survived by her son, Jon Frivold, Sr. of Concord; grandson, Jon Frivold, Jr. of Concord; and sister, Mary VanLear of New York.
Joan's life revolved around taking care of children. She loved all animals and feeding the birds.
