Joan Kimrey

Joan B. Kimrey, 76 years of age, of Mount Pleasant, passed away Friday, March 11, 2016 at Stanly Manor in Albemarle.

Mrs. Kimrey was born May 6, 1939 in Durham to the late Marvin Sanford Burnett and Dorothy Evelyn Burnett. She was also preceded in death by a sister, Patsy Creswell.

The family will receive friends from 3:00 PM - 5:00 PM, Sunday, March 13, 2016, at Open Door Baptist Church, 24639 Highway 49 South, in Richfield. The funeral service will follow in the church sanctuary at 5:00 PM officiated by Pastor Nathan Hammill. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Survivors include husband, Bobby Kimrey of the home, sons, Terry Kimrey and wife Venita of Mt Pleasant and Johnny Kimrey and wife Michelle of Albemarle, grandchildren, Christy, Mandi, Josh and Jordan, great grandchildren, Kaila, Cassie and Nolan, and a sister, Jean Shue.
