Joan Mary (Blair) Marjinsky, 77, of Concord, passed away on Monday, December 7, 2013 at Universal Healthcare. She was a former resident of The Mainlands Pinellas Park, Florida. Joan was born on September 28, 1935, to the late Victor Eugene Blair and the late Mary Safe Blair. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Michael Marjinsky and a twin brother James V. Blair. Joan wrote the obituaries for The Syracuse Herald Journal when she lived in Liverpool, NY. Services will be held at a later date in Florida. She is survived by: sister-in-law, Phyllis Blair; Niece, Victoria Hogan and husband Daniel; great nephews, Daniel and Joseph Hogan; dear friends, Gene and Kathy Webb of Concord; nephew, Joseph Blair of Florida. She was wonderfully funny, feisty and generous and enjoyed many types of crafts including wood carving, painting, and crocheting. Her sense of humor will be greatly missed.
