Joan Talbert

Joan Efird Talbert, 96, of Albemarle, passed away Tuesday, September 29, 2020 at Atrium Health Cabarrus in Concord.

Joan was born August 29, 1924 in Stanly County to the late Cromer Etwell Efird and Rosetta Whitley Efird. She was also preceded in death by her beloved husband of 62 years, Henry Wade Talbert, who passed away in 2008; brothers, Nathan Etwell Efird and Rev. James Efird; and sisters, Jewell Thompson, Lovena Burris, Evelyn Poplin and Viola Russell.

Joan loved her family dearly and was a retiree of Wiscassett Mills. She was a volunteer member of the hospital auxiliary serving as a Pink Lady.

A graveside service will be on Friday, October 2, 2020 at 11:00 AM at Palestine United Methodist Church, 35614 Palestine Road in Albemarle officiated by Pastor Kevin McCormac.

Survivors include a number of nieces and nephews.
