Joann Pope Poarch, 80 years of age, of Concord, passed away Saturday, January 7, 2017 at Carolinas HealthCare System NorthEast in Concord.
Joann was born April 4, 1936 in Catawba County to the late Joe Pope and the late Nannie Yount Pope. She was also preceded in death by daughter, Julia Ann Poarch.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm, Wednesday, January 11, 2017 at Hartsell Funeral Home of Concord. The funeral service will be on Thursday at 1:00 pm at Hartsell Funeral Home of Concord and will be officiated by Rev. Tim Newton. Burial will follow at the Sunset Memory Gardens in Charlotte.
Survivors include daughter, Joy Lynn Poarch of Concord; grandson, Dalton Allen of Concord; granddaughter, Holly Allen of Concord; granddaughter, Christian Smith of Kannapolis; and great-granddaughter, Laicee Driggers of Kannapolis.
