Joanne McCollister Wheeler 83, of Concord NC went to be with her heavenly Father, August 21,2020 in Chesterfield County VA, she was surrounded with her family and a host of angels.
Joanne was born in Redondo Beach California, September 9, 1936 to the late Beryl McCollister and the late Beatrice May Lutes.
Joanne had a servant’s heart, she worked in many ministries serving others in California, Charlotte NC, and Richmond Va. She was gifted with a beautiful singing voice which she shared God’s love to others with. She also was a puppeteer/writer which she and her sister ministered to many children in California. In Richmond, she and Miss Sharon continued to use her puppets to introduce children to Jesus, she started a puppet team mission group in which she taught young people to perform for others and share many funny and heartwarming stories for children to learn about how much God loved them and how they should love others. When she retired, she spent most her times with her grandchildren and great grandchildren, who lovingly called her Nana Great!
Joanne wrote this as follows; Thank you for celebrating with me, I have moved to my Fathers house and you are all invited. If you already know my Father, you know the way. But, if you have not met my Father yet, please reach out to any of my family, they can introduce you to him.
