Jodie Helms

Jodie Baucom Helms, 54, of Concord, passed away Sunday, February 18, 2018 at home.

Jodie was born December 14, 1963 in Cabarrus County to the late John Kenneth Baucom and the late Jeanne Barbee Baucom.

Jodie loved her dogs, Zeus, Chance and Gita.  She loved working outside in her garden.  Jodie could make anything grow.  She loved flowers and Kid Rock.  Jodie was a beloved wife, sister, aunt and friend.  She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Survivors include beloved husband, Carl L. Helms, Jr. of the home; step-daughter, Jennifer Helms of Charlotte; step-son, Brian Helms of Charlotte; granddaughter, Tyran Helms of Charlotte; sister, Jeanne (Roger) Lambert of Concord; sister, Jennifer (Brent) Melton of Kannapolis; niece, Breanna Tucker of Kannapolis; niece, Alayna Tucker of Kannapolis; and nephew, Koen Corriher of Kannapolis.

A service to celebrate Jodie's life will be held 2:00 pm, Thursday, February 22, 2018 at Hartsell Funeral Home Chapel, Concord.  The family will receive friends following the service.
