Joe Edward Allred, age 62, of 646 Hyde Park Drive NE Concord, N.C., died Monday, June 22, 2009, at CMC-Northeast in Concord, N.C. Mr.Allred was employed by Estes Express Line as a dock worker and was a member of Journey 2427 Church The family meeting place will be the home at 646 Hyde Park Drive NE Concord. Mr. Allred loved camping at Forest Lake Campground in Advance, NC, the Duke Blue Devils, and the Washington Redskins. A memorial service will be held at a later date at Forest Lake Campground in Advance, NC. Born in Cabarrus County on June 10, 1947 the son of the late Frank C. Allred, Sr. and the late Regina (Pearson) Allred. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by brother-Frank C. Allred, Jr. He is survived by his wife- Alice (Freeman) Allred; of the home Daughter-Tammy Atkinson & husband Todd of Mooresville, NC Daughter-Candy Doby & husband Travis of Concord, NC brother-James Allred & wife Shelia of Dunn, NC Sister-Phyllis Bennick & husband Barry of Concord, NC grandchildren-Brett Guffey, Christopher Atkinson, Tiffanie Atkinson, Abigail Doby, & Trevor Doby, numerous nieces and nephews, and faithful canine campanion-Suzie Q Arrangements are being handled by Hartsell Funeral Home - Concord where the family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Wednesday, June 24, 2009. A graveside service will be held at Carolina Memorial Park, Kannapolis at 2:00 PM Thursday, June 25, 2009 , Rev. Ron Hudson Rev. David Haltom officiating.
