Joe Barbee

Joe H. Barbee, 82 years of age, of Locust, passed away Tuesday, August 12, 2014 at Trinity Place in Albemarle.

Joe was born February 6, 1932 in Stanly County North Carolina to the late Realus and Joy Hartsell Barbee .

The family will receive friends from 12:00 PM to 2:00 P.M. on Friday August 15, 2014 at Carolina Presbyterian Church in Locust. The funeral service will follow in the church at 2:00 PM officiated by Rev. Patrick Womack. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Survivors include his wife of 54 years Joyce Barbee , son, Larry "Poncho" Barbee (Nancy) of Locust, son, Tony Barbee (Shana) of Locust, sister, Donnie Page of Locust. Grandchildren Michael Barbee (Heather), Cameron Barbee and Lauren Barbee. One great grandchild Kallie Barbee

Memorials may be made to Carolina Presbyterian Church.

Joe was the retired owner of Stanly Tractor Company and was a U.S. Air Force veteran of the Korean War.
