Joe Ferguson

Joe Lee Ferguson, 91, of Stanfield, passed away Thursday, January 13, 2022 at Atrium Health Cabarrus in Concord.

Joe was born October 22, 1930 in North Carolina to Isaac Otto Ferguson and Pauline Ora Ferguson.
He was also preceded in death by Wife, Betty Jean Ferguson; father Isaac Otto Ferguson; mother Pauline Ora Ferguson; sister Virginia Gibson; and brothers Gerald,  Lowell, Ike, and Boyd Ferguson.

The family will receive friends Tuesday, January 18, 2022, from 11am to 12:45pm, at Hartsell Funeral Home In Midland . A graveside service will follow at Community Baptist Church in Locust officiated by Jacob Oxendine.

Survivors include Son, Ricky (Lori) Joe Ferguson of Stanfield, NC; daughter, Kathy (Brian) Knox of Stanfield; NC; Brother, Lane Ferguson of SC; 7 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild.

Joe was a wonderful family man who proudly served his country in the United States Marines.  Joe was a very avid gardener and was known to have a green thumb.  After he retired from Lance, he enjoyed spending much of his time outdoors in his garden.
