Joe Donald Fink, 79, of Concord, passed away on Friday, March 15, 2013 at Tucker Hospice House. The family will receive friends at Hartsell Funeral Home in Concord on Tuesday, March 19, 2013 from 3 until 4 pm. Funeral services will follow in the chapel at 4 pm, with Rev. Bob Green officiating and friend Robert Weatherly speaking. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery, with graveside military rites by Cabarrus County Veterans Honor Guard. Mr. Fink was born on November 26, 1933 in Cabarrus County, to the late Fred Fink and Dora Mae Drye Fink. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his step son, Rick Dulin, three brothers, three sisters, and mother in law, Hattie Christy. Joe was a graduate of Hartsell High School and a veteran of the US Navy, having served on the USS Princeton during the Korean War. He was a life time member of The DAV Chapter #27, and The American Legion. Joe retired from Foard Construction Company in Charlotte due to ill health. He loved all sports, especially football and NASCAR racing. He loved all animals, he built bird houses and liked to feed and watch the birds. He is survived by his wife, Patsy Christy Dulin Fink of the home; grandchildren, Christy D. Pauley of Kannapolis, and Richard Dulin of Huntersville; five great grandchildren; a number of nieces and nephews; and his furry friend, Mr. C.
