Joe Hall passed away peacefully on the morning of December 29th, 2017. Dad had a tough but short battle with cancer. He was a talented, hardworking man. He could build anything, fix any motor, and grow the best garden. He retired at 76 after a long career in carpentry. He passed his talents to many of his children. Those who knew and loved him also knew that he never passed on the chance to help others. Our fondest memories were at the many Mint Hill fish frys and BBQ's on the "farm" and the visits from many friends who needed Dad to help with "fix'en" something. The best times were spent at our Holden Beach getaway, fishing on the coast all day and flounder gigging all night. He taught us respect, hard work and kindness for our fellow mankind. He was a good man who will be missed greatly. Since "Pappa was a rolling stone" his spirit lives through his children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and many friends made throughout his 84 years. Some of his best friends to mention are James McWhirter, Jimmy Allen, John Walker, William Lewis and his many Bojangles buddies. Rest in peace our sweet Dad, Pawpaw and cherished friend. Your memory will be kept and passed on for generations to come. No service is planned at this time. The family will have a private "spreading of his ashes" at a later day. In honor of Joe, you may make donations to Hospice & Palliative Care Charlotte Region.
