Joey Lance Almond, 54 years of age, of Albemarle, passed away Wednesday, June 1, 2016 at his home.
Joey was born September 6, 1961 in Stanly County to Buddy Lance Almond and Barbara Ann Blalock Almond.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, aunts, and uncles.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm, Friday, June 3, 2016 at Hartsell Funeral Home of Albemarle. The funeral service will follow at 3:00 pm at Hartsell Funeral Home's Lefler Memorial Chapel, officiated by Rev. Matthew Tucker. At other times, the family will be meeting at his parent's home.
In addition to his parents, Buddy and Barbara Almond of Norwood, he is survived by his sister, Crissie Noles and husband Charlie of Mount Pleasant; and niece, Ashley Whitley of New London.
Joey loved spending time with this family, going to the beach, and riding his moped. He enjoyed going out to eat, especially at Harmanco's. The family would like to thank his friends at Harmanco's for their kindness and friendship shown to him through the years. Joey was a former employee at Pizza Hut.
