John Adams

John David Adams, 79 years of age, of Concord, passed away Saturday, September 10, 2016 at Carolinas HealthCare System-Stanly in Albemarle.

John was born May 23, 1937 in South Carolina to Ben Tillman Adams and Mattie Hunter Adams who preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by one sister and three brothers .

The family will receive friends from 12:30 - 2:00 on Wednesday, September 14, 2016 at New Grace Baptist Church, 1160 Warren C. Coleman Blvd, Concord, NC. The funeral service will follow at 2:00 pm officiated by Pastor Allen Montgomery. Burial will follow at Gethsemane Cemetery & Memorial Gardens, 1504 West Sugar Creek Road, Charlotte, NC 28262..

Survivors include wife, Phyllis Adams of Concord; sons, Johnny (Beverly) Adams, and Jerry (Laura) Adams; grandsons, Aaron Adams and Mason Adams; and sisters, Annie Laura Lang, Carleen Stroud, Shirley Stroud, and Gennie Baker.

Memorials may be made to New Grace Baptist Church-Missions.
