Paul Burke

John Paul Burke, known as Paul, 67, of Rockwell, passed away Sunday, November 17, 2024 at his home in Rockwell.

Paul was born September 11, 1957 in Pennsylvania to the late William Francis Burke and the late Anne Burke.

Paul spent most of his adult life living in Wyckoff, NJ, where he was the co-owner of Russell Orchards for over 20 years. After relocating to North Carolina in 2013, Paul worked at Metrolina Greenhouses in Huntersville, NC, as Head Grower. Paul was an avid gardener who enjoyed working in his vegetable and flower gardens.

Survivors include wife, Kathleen (Katie Cole) Burke of Rockwell, NC; daughters, Kayla (Peter) Renals, Maura (Christopher) Pfeifer and Coreen (Jamin Becker) Burke; brothers, William (Carla) Burke and Neal (Elizabeth Brown) Burke; sister, Jennifer Francis. Paul is also survived by five grandchildren, whom he adored.

The family will have a private memorial service. The family asks that donations in Paul's memory be made to the Duke Cancer Institute.
