John Christian Butterbaugh, 67 years of age of Concord, passed away Monday, March 13, 2017 at Carolinas HealthCare System NorthEast in Concord.
John was born May 27, 1949 in Pennsylvania to the late John Otto Butterbaugh and Georgia Christine Butterbaugh.
The family will receive friends from 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm, Sunday, March 19, 2017 at Hartsell Funeral Home of Concord. The funeral service will be on Sunday at 3:00 pm at Hartsell Funeral Home Chapel of Concord officiated by Rev. Peggy Buelow. Burial will follow at the Salisbury National Cemetery on Tuesday, March 21, 2017 at 2:00 pm with military honors.
Survivors include wife, Stella Butterbaugh; daughters, Sherrie Butterbaugh, Erica (Jonathan) Enns, and Jenny (Steven) Bailey; son, Nicholas Butterbaugh; grandchildren, Stella and Adam Bailey and Scarlett and Catherine Enns; sister, Peggy (Peter) Buelow; brothers, George Butterbaugh and Tim Butterbaugh.
John was a veteran of the Vietnam War serving in the United States Navy and a retired Field Marketing Manager with CVS Pharmacy.
