John Cline

John Harvey Cline, 93, of Concord, passed away December 24, 2012 with his family by his side, his death was unexpected. Mr. Cline was born December 14, 1919 in Cabarrus County to the late Jacob Cline and Mary Foutz. He was a Charter member of Jackson Park Lions Club with 55 years perfect attendance, an active member of Rocky Ridge United Methodist Church since 1948, a 63 year member of St. John’s Grange and a charter member of the Jackson Park Fire Station. In addition to his parents, Mr. Cline is preceded in death by his wife Myrtle Sides Cline and daughter Joyce Cline Lipe. He is survived by his; son, Johnny Cline and his wife Janet; grand daughters, Joanna Lipe Baker and her husband Brad, Amanda Cline Morris and her husband David; Grandson, Jacob Franklin Cline and one great grand daughter Ella Joy Morris whom he loved dearly. Funeral services will be held Thursday December 27, 2012 at 12 noon at Rocky Ridge UMC, 1428 Old Charlotte Rd., Concord with visitation from 11 am to 12 noon. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Rocky Ridge United Methodist or to Jackson Park Lions Club.
