John Clontz

John Bunyan Clontz, 71, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 5, 2023 at his residence in Monroe.

Mr. Clontz was born September 7, 1951, in Monroe, North Carolina to the late Archie Lee Clontz and the late Julia Rushing Clontz. He was also preceded in death by his son John Ingram Clontz.

The family will receive friends from 11:00 am - 11:30 am, Tuesday, April 11, 2023 at Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery, 6233 Love Mill Road, Monroe. The graveside service will follow at 11:30 am in the church cemetery and be officiated by Rev. Terry Smith.

Survivors include wife, Angela Gay Clontz of Monroe, NC; daughter, Esther Clontz of Monroe, NC; stepchildren, Robbie Tarlton (Lindy), Brandon Tarlton (Rachel) and Daphne Tarlton; nine grandchildren; brother, Arval Rushing (Willie); and sisters Tonia Merritt (Mike) and Sonia Haigler.
