John Anthony Costanzo

John Anthony Costanzo, 95, passed away Wednesday, November 29, 2023, in Harrisburg NC. He was born May 23, 1928, in Middlesboro, Kentucky to Pascal and Mary Costanzo. John was preceded in death by his wife Camille Jane Miller Costanzo and three of his children, Lorin Anthony Costanzo, Debra Ann Costanzo, & Peter Glen Costanzo. He is survived by his daughter Camie Lynn Costanzo Comley (Walt) and three grandchildren, Toni Ann Costanzo, Ryan Walter Comley, John Anthony “Jack” Comley, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He was very proud of his grandkids and loved them deeply.

John’s first career was the military, retiring from the U.S. Army as a Chief Warrant Officer. Following that he was a salesman based in Virginia, representing a major fastener manufacturer to the predominant furniture producers of the Carolinas and Virginia. For John, there were no strangers and regardless of the employer, his success hinged on a genuineness that generated instant relationships.

As an Army man, John was passionate about military aviation and just months before his passing was given a “bucket list” opportunity to take a ride in a 1940 Boeing biplane. He was also an avid golfer and loved tinkering with cars. But mostly, John was a family man, and immersed himself into the numerous hobbies and projects his wife and kids were working on.
