John Harrington

John Henry Harrington, 83, of Concord, passed away Tuesday, January 5, 2021 at Five Oaks Manor in Concord.

Mr. Harrington (Johnny) was born June 19, 1937 in Concord, North Carolina to the late Grover Ernest Harrington and the late Mary Lee Harrington. He was also preceded in death by his three sisters Rachel L Harrington Rice, Retha M Harrington Anthony and Iris M Harrington Barbee and great grandchild Dallas Patterson.

Johnny loved to make people laugh. Born in Concord, NC He was married 62 years to Iris Shoe Harrington. He raised two daughters and worked for over 50 years in the Textile Industry. He loved cooking, collecting clocks, his dog Lady, and watching Westerns. We love him and he will truly be missed.

The funeral service will be on Friday, January 8, 2021 at 11:00 am at Hartsell Funeral Home in Concord with the Rev. Tim Newton officiating. Burial will immediately follow the service at Carolina Memorial Park Kannapolis, Concord, NC.

Survivors include wife, Iris Jane Harrington of Concord, NC; daughters, Pamela Patterson of Concord, NC and Debra Harrington of Kannapolis, NC; grandchildren Jonathan Thomas Kiker and wife, Amanda Griggs Kiker of Roseville, OH, Kimberly Dawn Patterson of Mooresville, NC and Gary Paterson of China Grove, NC, great grandchildren Landen T. Kiker, Payten D. Kiker of Roseville, OH; Jaden Smith and Lawson Patterson of China Grove, NC.
