John Hartman

John "Jack" F. Hartman, 86 years of age, of Concord, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, January 29, 2015 at Tucker Hospice House in Kannapolis.
Mr. Hartman was born June 5, 1928 in Trenton, NJ. He was preceded in death by his former wife Patricia Hartman; and step daughter Kathy Ball.
Survivors include his wife, Margaret Christine Hartman of the home; step daughters, Crystal Mathers and Diane Kiker; step son, Ted Helton; 18 grandchildren and several great grandchildren; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Jack proudly served in the United States Army from 1948 to 1958. He loved going to church and singing gospel music. He was an avid bowler and a lover of chocolate chip cookies.
The family will receive friends from 1:30 pm - 3:00 pm, Sunday, February 1, 2015 at Hartsell Funeral Home of Concord. The funeral service will be on Sunday at 3:00 pm in the Hartsell Funeral Home chapel, officiated by Rev. Kevin Hartsell and Brother Don Collins of King, NC. Burial will follow at West Concord Cemetery.
