John Hicks, Sr

John Larry Hicks, Sr, Age 69 of 20267 US 52 S., Albemarle, NC 28001, passed away on October 01, 2010 at Carolinas Medical Center NorthEast in Concord. Born in Stanly County on October 15, 1940. He is the son of the late Lemmie and Victoria Foreman Hicks. He was a retired truck driver for JT Russell Construction. He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Shirley Ann Caudle Hicks of the home, two sons; Larry Hicks, Jr. and Roger Dale Hicks both of Albemarle; and two grandsons Joshua and Justin Hicks. Visitation will be Sunday, October 3, 2010 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Hartsell Funeral Home of Albemarle. Funeral service will be Monday, October 4, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at Hartsell Funeral Home's Lefler Memorial Chapel. Burial will follow at Porter Baptist Church, Norwood.
