John Hopkins

John “Johnny” Larry Hopkins age 65 of 25788 Harwood Rd, New London, NC passed away Sunday, October 17, 2010 at Stanly Regional Medical Center. He was born January 24, 1945 in Stanly County to the late Jim Frank Hopkins and Mary Selma Pope Hopkins. He is survived by his wife Brenda Ruth Grissom Hopkins of the home; daughter, Denise Hopkins Purkey and husband Robert of New London; grandson, Brian Purkey; great granddaughter Brylee Purkey; brother, James Hopkins of Albemarle; sisters, Katie Foreman of Albemarle, Pauline Rinehardt of Badin, Jeanette Fields of Carthage and Mary Jones of Siler City. There will be a visitation Monday, October 18, 2010 from 7 to 9 pm at Hartsell Funeral Home of Albemarle. There are no scheduled funeral services. Memorials may be made to Hartsell Funeral Home, P.O.
